If you haven’t heard, former ESPN scribe Ric Bucher who, depending on who you ask was either fired/mutually not retained by the Worldwide Leader is back in the public eye, this after signing with Bleacher Report.

Bucher, who had been working in the Bay Area has made waves in the past for some of his unique viewpoints, much like his most recent where he said he’d rather have Derrick Rose of the Chicago Bulls over the Miami Heat’s LeBron James.

"“@hoops_fan: Do you still think Rose is better than Lebron? #AskRic” LeBron has come a long way and I admire him for it. I’d still go w/DR."

While I’m a complete advocate of Rose’s game, taking him over LeBron is silly. Add in the fact Rose is still just a few preseason games into his return and the idea becomes even more outlandish.

Of course, it could be Bucher doing nothing more than trying to drive up talk on his new career move, though, at the risk of your credibility I’m not sure if that’s a price worth paying.

There aren’t many players in the league you’d take over Rose, but there are even less you’d take over James.
