Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Cecil Shorts III is dealing with a sternoclavicular (SC) joint sprain that will likely keep him out of action for at least a week, and he recently went on to give some details of the pain his injury is causing.

Shorts has had issues lifting his arms above his head, which has led to him needing assistance putting his jersey on and taking it off. On top of that, Shorts has said that he is having issues sleeping.

From Hays Carlyon of the Florida Times-Union:

With the symptoms that Shorts is suffering, which are the same symptoms that Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger reported when he had the same injury a year ago, it is highly unlikely that Shorts will suit up this week and possible beyond.

Last year, Roethlisberger missed three games, so we can use his timetable as a measuring stick for when Shorts may return.
