Pittsburgh Steelers rookie linebacker Jarvis Jones was held out of yesterday’s practice with what the team was describing as a head injury and 24 hours later they have announced that the first-round pick is suffering from a concussion.

From Steelers public relations man Burt Lauten:

In order for Jones to be cleared for game action against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday he will need to receive medical clearance from an independent neurologist.

If Jones cannot go, Jason Worilds will get the call to start.

Pittsburgh would love to have their playmaking rookie in the line up for their big match up against the AFC North rival, so we will need to wait and see if he receives the clearance.
