Not too surprisingly, the ever vocal Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman thinks he is one of the best in the corners in the league. Sherman isn’t wrong, he is one of the best corners in the league, but Sherman likes to compare himself to others. He has gone around asking fans who is better, himself or Darrelle Revis. Now he is comparing himself to another one of the league’s best corners.

He’s a way better athlete than I am,” Sherman said. “He moves better and he’s faster. He has so much speed that it allows him to play a little differently than I do. I have to play straight technical football. He gets to play a little looser because he can recover in a flash and get back in a play.”

Sherman’s comments are praise for Peterson in a way, but it’s also very critical. Sherman is essentially saying he is a better football player because he has to be, he has to be technical because he doesn’t have the athleticism to recover. Peterson has that athletic ability so he doesn’t play as technically sound as Sherman does.

It’ll be an interesting match up to watch this weekend, to see who can perform better.
