Oft-injured New England Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola continues to miss practices after being knocked out cold in last week’s match up against the New Orleans Saints. It was obvious from the second he was hit that Amendola suffered a concussion and he has yet to receive clearance to return to practice since the vicious hit.
Jeff Howe of the Boston Herald passed along the news that Amendola was once again absent from practice on Friday.
Aqib Talib returns to practice after missing two days with a hip injury. Amendola (concussion) and Washington (ankle) miss third straight.

Amendola likely won’t be able to suit up for this weekend’s game against the New York Jets, so in the meantime look for Julian Edelman, Kenbrell Thompkins, and Aaron Dobson to occupy the top three positions on the roster for the Patriots in their key AFC East match up.
As for Amendola, he will need to be cleared by an independent neurologist before he is able to return to action.
