DeMarco Murray remains absent from Cowboys practice
By Josh Sanchez
Dallas Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray is recovering from a sprained MCL in his left knee that was suffered during last weekend’s match up on Sunday Night Football against the Washington Redskins, and the injury once again forced him to miss the team’s practice.
From Calvin Watkins of ESPN Dallas:
The news really comes as no surprise, as Murray was not expected to dress for the Week 7 NFC East clash against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Murray’s absence will obviously be a huge blow for the Cowboys offense, but they are hopeful that rookie rusher Joseph Randle is able to carry the load and keep the Cowboys running game respectable.
If not, there will just be more pressure than ever on quarterback Tony Romo to keep the offense rolling.
The good news is that Romo has shown in the past that he is more than capable of putting up the big numbers, so the Cowboys will be hopeful that Romo steps up and can help lead the team to sole possession of the NFC East.
