Jared Allen: State of MN would revolt if AP was traded
By Corey Leahy
Just yesterday, it was suggested by one sports writer of St. Pioneer Press that the Vikings should consider trading Adrian Peterson. He felt as though a trade would bring about draft picks which would ultimately bolster the Vikings roster and make them contenders for years.
However, Jared Allen, defensive end for the Vikings, feels that if AP were to be traded away, the whole state of Minnesota would revolt. In an article on NFL.com, here’s what Allen had to say.
"“I don’t think that would be a very smart move, to say the least,” Allen said. “I’m glad I’m not the GM having to make decisions, but I think if Adrian wasn’t a Viking, I think maybe this state might revolt. Adrian’s a phenomenal player, and you understand people write stuff like that. If I was a betting man, I’d put my money that Adrian isn’t going anywhere.”"
Allen may be the one of the first members of the organization to answer the question of whether they think he should be traded, but he certainly won’t be the last.
What do you think? Do you think it would be wise for the Minnesota Vikings to trade their bst player for draft picks which could turn out to be duds? Leave a comment below.
