Oregon Ducks leading receiver Josh Huff might be in trouble, though it doesn’t seem like it. He tried to have a party for his birthday and charging a cover to make some money. He even invested $1,500 of his own money in making this party a success. The cover charge wasn’t necessarily to make a profit, but to cover the costs of the party.

Any current of former college student knows that is a bunch of BS and that coverage charges or “red solo cup charges” cover more than the cost of the party. As I recall from my college days, charging people $5 a cup to drink from a keg usually netted a hefty profit, and what money we had left over we used to reinvest in the next party. Not a ton of money, but we weren’t investing $1,500 into it or using local celebrities to draw a crowd outside of our friends, and friends of friends.

Unfortunately for him and his plans, the NCAA found out and shut it down. Not too shockingly, Huff was a little upset. He took to Twitter to vent and even voice his opinion on the college athletes pay-for-play debate.

And that is when the rant begins.

But does he really mean it.

Fans asked him to stop, worried he’d hurt his eligibility.

But he stopped there.

And he followed his fans’ advice and apologized.

And he is trying again.
