What’s an NFL player to do during a six-game suspension? Workout like a fiend? If you’re Denver Broncos linebacker, Von Miller, yes actually – that’s exactly what you do and exactly what he did.

According to Jay Glazer of Fox Sports, via Pro Football Talk, the talented defender not only added sixteen pounds during his time off, but it was all muscle:

"Jay Glazer of FOX Sports reports that Miller has gained 16 pounds of muscle, driving up his weight from 250 pounds to 266."

One would assume that would only enhance Miller’s already impressive game, though as we’ve seen at times, added muscle can impede some of the quickness and agility players use towards their advantage.

That said, I don’t see that being a problem for the toned Miller who should continue to run through opposing offenses once he gets his legs back under him from the lengthy suspension.

It should also be noted, as impressive as the addition sounds, that’s a pretty absurd amount of weight to put in in such a short time. Not to suggest Miller isn’t telling the truth, but it’s likely not nearly as much as he says.
