UPDATE: Showing off his toughness, Fred Jackson has returned to the field

The Buffalo Bills have been dealing with plenty of injuries on the offensive side of the ball, but the latest could be a big loss to the backfield. Running back Fred Jackson went down after a 3rd-and-15 play and immediately grabbed his left knee in obvious pain.

The good news for the Bills is that Jackson was able to get to the sidelines without a cart, but he was in clear pain and it didn’t look good.

There is no injury update, but the injury appeared to be severe and it doesn’t look like Jackson will be able to return to the game today. As far as the team is concerned, however, he is listed as “questionable” to return.

We wouldn’t hold our breath.

For the Miami Dolphins, that makes life for their defense a little easier.

A limited CJ Spiller will now need to carry the load, but he is still less than 100 percent.
