New York Jets quarterback Geno Smith is off to rocky start. For the most part he has been pretty solid. He has completed 7 of 11 passes for 119 yards and a touchdown. Unfortunately for the Jets, Smith threw an interception to Logan Ryan that was returned 79 yards for the touchdown.
That touchdown gave Patriots their first lead of the game. For Smith it his 11th interception of the season. Smith has particularly struggled against the Patriots.
In their last meeting, Smith competed less than 50% of his passes for 214 yards and threw three interceptions in that game. None of those picks were returned for touchdowns however. Despite all those turn overs, the Jets played the Patriots tough. They lost the game 13-10 but could’ve won.
The Jets will have to overcome this deficit to beat a solid New England Patriots team. With Rob Gronkowski back in the line up they’ll be even more difficult to beat.
