The MRI has come back and confirmed the St. Louis Rams worst fears. Pro Football Talk is reporting that quarterback Sam Bradford has a torn ACL and his season will be over. Bradford will likely be placed on injured reserve early next week. That leaves Kellen Clemens as the only quarterback on the Rams’ roster.

They’ll have to sign a quarterback, there isn’t any way around it. Whether they pursue a quarterback with the idea that he’ll start for them or simply to back up Clemens, they’ll be signing a quarterback. There were initial reports that they were considering Tim Tebow but those rumors were quickly down played.

It could be someone like Vince Young who is a free agent but spent training camp with the Green Bay Packers. The Buffalo Bills just signed Matt Flynn. Though Young must not be interested, he hasn’t tweeted them offering his services like he did with the Texans when Matt Schaub went down with an injury.

I don’t know who they turn to though. The free agent quarterback seems to be pretty barren.
