Houston Texans running back Arian Foster injured his hamstring in Sunday’s loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. He did not return to the game. Fortunately for the Texans, ESPN’s Tania Ganguli is reporting that Foster is day-to-day. The Texans have a bye week so Foster will get two weeks to recover.

“He’s got a hamstring, obviously bad enough where he couldn’t come back and play,” Texans head coach Gary Kubiak said after the game, via the team’s website. “We do have a bye week. Ben (Tate) has some ribs, Duane (Brown) has an ankle and (Shiloh) Keo has an ankle, so we got beat up on top of everything.”

The Texans also released running back Cierre Wood and two other players after they broke team rules at the hotel.

“It’s a hamstring,” said Foster, via ESPN. “It doesn’t seem too severe right now, so we will just play it out. I have a bye week coming. It’s tough.”
