After losing starting quarterback Jay Cutler for at least a month due to a groin tear, the Chicago Bears are going to be in need of a quarterback – or so one would think.
Josh McCown replaced Cutler in the lineup on Sunday and could likely do so again when the Bears take the field in Week 9 after their bye in Week 8. It’s also possible that the Bears, with an extra week of practice, may opt to insert Jordan Palmer into the starting lineup. Either way, no matter who is signal calling for the Bears in the weeks ahead, they won’t be signing Tim Tebow, Vince Young or even Brett Favre:
"Please refrain from continuing to ask. #Bears are not interested in Brett Favre, Tim Tebow or Vince Young. Jordan Palmer is their guy."
But what about JaMarcus Russ…okay, okay, I’ll stop.
While it’s possible the Bears may opt to sign a third string quarterback, just for precautions, they won’t make a ‘name splash’ in doing so.
Meanwhile, Tim Tebow and Vince Young wonder what they have to do to get a job in the NFL that doesn’t involve filling Gatorade jugs.
