Earlier today, it was reported that the Chicago Bears feared the worst in regards to the injury suffered by starting quarterback, Jay Cutler. What exactly they deemed as the worst possible news, we’re not sure, but what we do know is that Cutler will be out for a minimum of four weeks after tearing his groin in the Bears’ loss to the Redskins on Sunday afternoon.

Per Jay Glazer:

"Jay Cutler has a muscle tear in his groin. Out at least four weeks"

Keep in mind, it’s a minimum of four weeks and given how we’ve seen groin injuries struggle to heal in the past, it could be more than the originally diagnosed time frame.

It’s a devastating blow to the Bears, who originally thought the injury was hip related, though tests performed on Sunday night revealed differently.

Josh McCown is scheduled to take over the starting duties, though will have a week of practice to get acclimated as the Bears have a Week 8 bye.
