In case you’re a fan of the Houston Texans, the St. Louis Rams or the Chicago Bears you’ve probably wasted your Monday neglecting work and scouring over the list of free agent quarterbacks on the market. All three teams lost quarterbacks to injuries and are using the depth on their rosters to fill in for now.

The Texans seem content to use Case Keenum at quarterback in the mean time. The Rams are left with just Kellen Clemens and need to add at least a back up quarterback. The Chicago Bears are in a similar situation with Josh McCown and they at least need someone on the roster behind him.

Both teams could essentially bring in a quarterback to start to technically, but it seems unlikely the Bears would do that. Jay Cutler’s injury isn’t as serious as Sam Bradford’s season-ending ACL injury. Still there are options out there. For instance, the Jets just released Brady Quinn or Vince Young is still out there.

In the mean time, they could consider Jamarcus Russell. Though NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport is reporting that he is not ready yet and still working on his knee and weight.
