During the Indianapolis Colts big win over the Denver Broncos on Sunday Night Football, Colts cornerback Vontae Davis had a huge game and was a big part of helping the team’s secondary stifle the dynamic Broncos offense.

Davis was able to match up man-to-man and rough up the Broncos receivers, but it appears that he may have thought he was playing another team.

After the game, Davis was being interviewed by NBC’s Michelle Tafoya at mid-field when he let up a little slip.

Davis was speaking about the Colts preparation for the big match up, when he stated that the team prepared really hard to face Tom Brady.

Um, you got the wrong team their, Vontae.

Perhaps Davis was trolling us all, but we wouldn’t give him that much credit.

The good news for Davis and the Colts backfield is that preparing for the wrong team apparently worked out pretty well and helped Indianapolis knock the Broncos from the ranks of the unbeaten.

Let’s hope that the extra practice during the team’s bye week will allow Vontae Davis to realize what quarterback he is playing. Then again, it is the Houston Texans in Week 9, so even we don’t know who the quarterback will be.
