Much to the dismay of fantasy football owners and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, star running back Doug Martin suffered a torn labrum after taking a hit from Atlanta Falcons safety William Moore in Week 7.

The injury could very likely end Martin’s season, but he is not ready to throw in the towel yet.

As far as Martin is concerned, he will be able to trot back onto the field later this season.

From Roy Cummings of the Tampa Tribune:

The injury will keep Martin out for a few weeks at the minimum, so don’t get too excited for his return just yet.

There is also still the chance that he could be placed on the injured reserve list once he gets another opinion from the doctors. The Buccaneers hope that the worst case scenario won’t be a reality.
