As shown in the picture above, Cincinnati Bengals safety George Iloka has become one f the hardest-hitting safeties. To think he was able to knock Detroit Lions receiver Calvin Johnson so hard that he was able to dislodge his helmet from him shows just how powerful his hits are.

So, it doesn’t come as much of a surprise that one of those hits left Green Bay Packers tight end Jermichael Finley with a concussion in their Week 3 matchup.

Iloka hit Finley in the first quarter of the Bengals’ wild 34-30 win over the Packers, and the hit knocked him out of the game and he didn’t return, but Iloka ended up being fined $15,000 for a hit:

"“He was coming at me head first, and I was just trying to make a play on the ball and knock it out with my hand, and his head happened to hit my lower bicep area and caused a concussion,” Iloka said after learning of the fine."

Iloka appealed the fine, and word is just now coming down that he did lose the appeal, but that it was reduced to 10,000, according to ESPN’s Cole Harvey.
