To say that part of the reason for the struggles of the Cleveland Browns recently has been the wildly inconsistent play at quarterback would be an understatement. For a short time this season it looked as if they may have struck gold when Brian Hoyer stepped in and performed better than most have in recent memory, but this is Cleveland sports we’re talking about here. They weren’t lucky enough to enjoy that luxury long as Hoyer was quickly injured and ruled out for the season.

Since then, it’s been back to Brandon Weeden, a man whose name is quickly become akin to a four-letter word to Browns fans.

But, don’t worry, someone wants to help. As a matter of fact, a retired QB (no, NOT Favre) has reached out to the organization about lending a hand at manning things under center. And, he’s also someone familiar with being a Brown.

Ladies and gentlemen of Cleveland, Jeff Garcia wants to see if he can make you all feel better:

Maybe, in some aspects, this isn’t a bad idea at all. But, unfortunately, Browns management gave Garcia a brief, “Thanks, but no thanks.”:
