Michael Vick was recently named the most hated player in the NFL in a recent poll, but the Philadelphia Eagles quarterback isn’t sweating the news. In fact, Vick said that he cares nothing about how people view him and he is not concerned with whatever a poll may say.

I care nothing about that,” Vick said, via Geoff Mosher of CSNPhilly.com.   “I care nothing about the people who dislike me.  I care nothing about the people who still have ill feelings about me.  What matters most to me is the people that I do know care about me and that’s something you can never take away from me.

“So, I don’t feed into all that.  People are entitled to their own opinions, and I respect it.  Just let me do what I do and let me be me.  As long as I’ve got my freedom, my health and my family, nothing else matters.”

That’s exactly the attitude that you need to have.

Fans will be fans and they won’t be shy about voicing their opinions whether they are good or bad. You can’t please everyone, so you have to roll with the punches and worry about controlling the only thing in your power, which is how you perform on the field.
