I’ve never had to wait tables in my life, though, I do know many who have and it’s a tough job. Not only is it physical, but you often deal with a lot of unhappy customers, some of which doesn’t exactly tip the best.

However, the same can’t be said for Kansas City Chiefs defensive star Tamba Hali who decided to pass on the gift of generosity recently when he dropped a $1,300 dollar tip at a local KC restaurant.

After the Chiefs’ one-point victory over the Houston Texans on Sunday evening, leaving them as the only undefeated team in the NFL, Hali and some teammates/family/friends decided they’d go get some much needed grub. But waiting on at least sixteen people is no small task, so the Chiefs linebacker wanted to make sure the staff was rewarded for all of their hard work.

"Hali and up to 15 friends and family went to Fogo de Chao about 8:30 p.m. Sunday. The restaurant was pretty empty because most fans had stayed home to watch the game or traveled to Arrowhead.Hali and his group enjoyed the all-you-can-eat-pig-out-fest of meat and racked up a bill of more than $1,800. The restaurant automatically added a tip of almost $300.Restaurant employees say Hali is a regular customer who is a generous tipper. Still they were stunned when he added an additional $1,000 gratuity onto the bill."

The three-time Pro Bowler isn’t exactly hurting for money, but that’s still awesome to see. Thumbs up to you, Mr. Hali.
