The Cleveland Browns tabbed Jason Campbell as their starting quarterback today, a clear signal that the teams is simply evaluating all of it’s players while looking to rebuild for the future.

It’s rather sad to see after the team was able to win three-straight games and climb atop the AFC North, only to lose their newfound QB to a torn ACL, and when Brian Hoyer went down, so too did any hopes of a winning season in the factory of sadness.

It also means the team will likely try to trade any valuable assets they have that they don’t want to be a part of their future plans, and receiver Josh Gordon appears to fit that bill.

But according to Pro Football Talk, a trade of Gordon before next week’s NFL trade deadline appears unlikely:

"Amid a report of multiple teams making trade offers for Brown receiver Josh Gordon (which frankly feels like something that was leaked by the Browns in order to drive up interest and/or price), a league source with knowledge of the dynamics of any deal tells PFT that a trade is “possible” but not “probable.”"
