It wasn’t that long ago that the Washington Redskins suggested that they wanted to get Aldrick Robinson more snaps.

It didn’t happen.

But after a week which included a 45-yard touchdown catch, the Redskins, specifically head coach Mike Shanahan reiterated the fact that the team wants to get Robinson more playing time.

Per the Washington Post:

"“We’ve got a lot of belief in Aldrick, and he does have some big-play capabilities. We need to get him in the ball game a little bit more,” Shanahan said. “Pierre has been playing well, so you don’t want to take Pierre out of the game too often, but you do want to give him opportunities to make some plays like he did [against Chicago].”"

Of course, despite his big-play ability, Robinson has had trouble catching the ball while also running some poor routes, so it’ll be interesting to see if the Redskins actually follow through on the idea.

Robinson and the Redskins will take on the Denver Nuggets in Week 8.
