Before the game Thursday night, Carolina Panther’s quarterback Cam Newton was seen wearing specially made red-and-blue colored Under Armour cleats featuring the Superman logo. However, Newton chose to avoid the fine and did not wear them we he took the field against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

It’s to bad to, because Newton has looked like Superman so far in this game, going 9-of-10 for 98 yards and a touchdown in the air, and 24 yards on the ground.

Newton was already fined $10,000 last month for wearing a visor clip with the Under Armour logo on it, according to Pro Football Talk, but I’m sure Under Armour made it worth his while.

Two weeks ago, Chicago Bears wide receiver Brandon Marshall was fined for wearing green shoes for Mental Health Awareness week. He was $10,500, even though the NFL allowed him to wear the shoes.
