NFL Coverage Map Week 8
By Mike Dyce
It is week 8 of the NFL season and we’re about at the mid-way point of the season. Divisional races are starting to shape and Wild Card chases are emerging. There is a lot of good football to watch this Sunday and we have maps, courtesy of 506 Sports, showing you which markets are showing which games.
CBS’s Sunday line up is consolidated into one map. It makes it slightly hard to read and follow, but very colorful. I find it interesting that the Pittsburgh Steelers-Oakland Raiders game is getting so much visibility in Dallas, Texas. It is an NFC city and that is an AFC match up, and not even a marquee one at that. The Miami Dolphins-New England Patriots seems to be getting a lot of attention. It is an interesting map to lo look at though.
FOX’s early line up seems simple enough. California and some west coast states, along with the Jacksonville area get the 49ers-Jaguars game. The north east and some little pockets along the east coast and Indianapolis get the New York Giants and Philadelphia Eagles game. The rest of the country will get the Cowboys-Lions game.
FOX’s late schedule is also straight forward. Arizona and Atlanta area get the Cardinals-Falcons game. The rest of the country is watching Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos.
