I’m not sure a potentially deadly disease is something you’d really want to make fun of, especially considering what has happened to Lawrence Tynes and Carl Nicks, though a fan did so tonight and seemed to get quite the positive reaction.

Frustrated with his favorite team and head coach Greg Schiano’s handling of the squad, a Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan decided to go to the game with a sign that read ‘Greg Schiano is the MRSA’, a reference to the staph infections that have hit the Buccaneers this season.

Of course, if treated properly and caught in time, MRSA can be controlled and the fan obviously wasn’t attempting to make light of the condition, rather, just make fun of Schiano who has had a pretty rough day. In addition to being named the MRSA, Schiano likely drove past a billboard in North Tampa requesting he be fired while NFL insider Ian Rapoport hinted that the Bucs head coach may not make it through the end of the season.

Tonight’s drubbing against the Carolina Panthers didn’t help that cause.
