The Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost running back Doug Martin a week ago to a torn labrum as their dumpster fire of a season continued to go up in flames, but we hadn’t heard a specific timetable for his return since the injury occurred.

Tampa Bay was hoping that the injury would not be season ending, and the report today shows it could go either way.

From Alex Marvez of FOX Sports:

The Buccaneers would obviously love to have their most talented offensive player back in the huddle, but at what cost?

Tampa Bay isn’t going to go anywhere this season, so rushing back a guy you could build your offense around is just bad for business. Then again, this is the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Greg Schiano we are talking about, so making a sensible move may just be too much to ask for.
