Fantasy Football: Get to know Denver Broncos RB C.J. Anderson
By Jason Marcum
Despite a crowded backfield in Denver, Broncos running back C.J. Anderson manged to generate some buzz during training camp, and that led to a breakout performance in their preseason game against the San Francisco 49ers when he ran for 69 yards on 15 carries.
But all of that momentum came to a screeching halt when the undrafted rookie out of Cal-Berkeley was carted off of the practice field with a right knee injury he sustained in the fourth week of camp.
It turned out just to be a sprain to the medial collateral ligament, and not a torn anterior cruciate ligament as was the fear. With word today that Ronnie Hillman will be deactivated on Sunday, Anderson will play and get his shot to show he can be a productive back in this offense.
