While New England Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola won’t say the magic words, it appears he’s ready to play in Week 8 after telling local media that he’s ‘ready to go’.

"Amendola said he’s had one prior concussion, has taken a battery of tests, and claims he’s ready to go. Wouldn’t say if he’ll play Sunday."

I’m not exactly sure what the difference is between being ‘ready to go’ and playing on Sunday, maybe official confirmation from the team, but either way it’s looking more and more likely that Amendola will be on the field come Sunday afternoon.

The oft-injured receiver had a big Week 1 though has been nursing a handful of injuries since then, including a partially torn abductor and a concussion.

Although he’s been limited, Amendola has partaken in practice with the Patriots all week and should see action, barring any setbacks, against the Dolphins this weekend.

Assuming he’s able to stay on the field, the return of Amendola along with Rob Gronkowski should open up the Patriots passing game.
