A sixth-grader, who loves the Green Bay Packers, has been wearing the same Aaron Rodgers jersey for over 1,000 straight days. The boy’s name is David Piehl. He first received the jersey as a Christmas gift from his very understanding parents, both of whom are Vikings fans. As of right now, he has worn the jersey for 1,034 days exactly.

“Everyone asks, ‘Is he still wearing the shirt?’ Yes, he’s still wearing the shirt,” said David’s mom, Jessica.

His father takes responsibility for the streak.

“I made the mistake of mentioning the boy that had worn the Brett Favre jersey just over four years and at that point he said, ‘Hm, is there a record?’ and I said, ‘I don’t know if there’s a record for an Aaron Rodgers jersey,’ so he said, ‘Well, I’m going to try and break the record,'” said Dave.

For those curious, as I was, his parents wash the jersey every other night by hand. It has become so worn, that you can hardly tell it once was an Aaron Rodgers jersey.

“It looked normal when he first started wearing it but now it’s worn out,” said David’s friend Caeden Kruger.
