Catch San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich on a good day and he seems like one of the most funny, charismatic people you’ll ever come across. Only problem? For about 363 days out of the year, he’s the exact opposite.

Spurs point guard Tony Parker knows this quite well and even admitted that Popovich made him cry a couple times during his rookie season in an interview with ESPN:

"“Oh yeah,” Parker said when asked if Pop ever made him cry. “A couple times during my rookie year it was tough because he’s a tough coach to play for. He’s very demanding. Now he’s got better, he’s more like easy, but back in the day he was like really tough.”"

Combine that with the fact that Tim Duncan essentially ignores rookies who dare even speak and you question how that locker room has become so pleasant.

Regardless, the Spurs apparently know what they’re doing considering all the bling hanging from their fingers.
