When we get older, our minds just don’t work like they used to and we can forget some valuable information. Unfortunately for Florida State Seminoles coaching legend Bobby Bowden, it looks like he has reached that point.

Bowden was brought up to the broadcasting booth during the Seminole’s blowout win over the North Carolina State Wolfpack, where he got to chat on air.

When Bowden was preparing to leave the ESPN booth, he was saying goodbye when he went ahead and asked analyst Chris Spielman if his father, Charles, was still enjoying coaching high school football. But there is one problem — Charles Spielman passed away in 2008.

It could have been a very awkward moment if Spielman didn’t respond so quickly by saying, “Yeah, he’s still coaching up in heaven.”

The worst part is that it didn’t even seem to register with Bowden, who is in his own little world.
