It has been a night to forget for the Minnesota Vikings. It’s one that wide receiver Greg Jennings will likely want to erase with bleach as he’s had a woeful night against his former team, the Green Bay Packers.
The Vikings and Jennings have essentially been doubled up while Jennings picked up one catch for nine yards. He also took one of the biggest hits of the game – courtesy of his own teammate, Toby Gerhart.
With the Vikings trailing by a country mile, the coaching staff put in Gerhart for some crunch time carries and he effectively rumbled through the Packers defensive line a few times. He also rumbled through Jennings as the wide receiver attempted to throw a block.
So much for being a nice guy, eh?
As Gerhart was closing in on the end zone, he had one Packers defender to beat. Jennings came running into the picture in an attempt to block the Packer, but Gerhart figured he’d take the challenge head-on, literally.
Gerhart rammed into what he thought would be the Packers defensive back, but it turned out to be Jennings.
