Nelson, despite it being just the second quarter, caught his second touchdown pass of the night – a 76-yard slant from Rodgers.
The catch, while impressive, was not nearly as spectacular as the throw with Rodgers threw on a string, somehow finding Nelson’s hands behind the helmet of a Vikings defender.
Nelson, doing what he does so well, secured the catch and was off to the races.
A juke move against an awaiting Vikings safety and there was no chance for any of the trailer defenders (and there were a lot of them) as Nelson beat them all down the field, giving Green Bay a 17-10 lead in the process.
It was Nelson’s third catch of the evening as he’s amassed 94 yards in the process, along with the two aforementioned touchdowns. The score was Nelson’s seventh of the season and his second multi-touchdown game of the year.
Rough night for the Vikings secondary.
