Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald has long been considered one of the top wide receivers in the NFL, but this year he has had a less than stellar season and it looks like he could be finding a new team within the next year.

The NFL trade deadline is on Tuesday, but don’t expect Fitzgerald to be traded by then.

There is a chance the team will field offers, but reports indicate that it is much more likely for Fitzgerald to be traded away this offseason.

From Adam Schefter of ESPN.com:

It would be tough for fans to say goodbye Fitzgerald after all that he has done for their team and community, but the harsh reality is that the Cardinals aren’t going anywhere anytime soon and they need to rebuild. It wouldn’t be fair to hold Fitzgerald hostage, so it would be better to send him off to a contending team.
