Minnesota Vikings defensive end Jared Allen is a candidate to be traded before Tuesday’s trade deadline, but Jay Glazer of FOX Sports says that the team has their eyes set on some pretty specific compensation.

In order for the Vikings to part ways with Allen, who is set to become a free agent after the season, they will require at least a third-round pick in return.

Glazer wrote:

Teams will always say that they need specific compensation, but if they are really ready to move him before Tuesday afternoon then they may be willing to take a little less.

If the Vikings can get anything in return for a player that is likely going to leave in the offseason, they need to take it before the offer is off the table.
