Now I’ve been doing weekly picks for over 10 years now, going back to my high school years.

Last night I got through my Week 8 picks, but it wasn’t an easy decision when it came down to this game between the Oakland Raiders and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Oakland does have the talent to beat the Steelers who have struggled this season. I never thought that Pittsburgh would have the same record as the Raiders this season, but you can never really tell when it comes to surprises in this league.

With the Raiders prepared to host Ben Roethlisberger and the Steelers today, the team announced players who will be inactive. Wide receiver Juron Criner, strong safety Tyvon Branch, linebacker Martez Wilson, defensive end Ryan Robinson, center Andre Gurode, tackle Menelik Watson and offensive tackle Tony Pashos will not be suiting up today for the Raiders.

Center Stefen Wisniewski is back in the lineup today for Oakland after missing some time with a knee injury. Running back Darren McFadden is near 100 percent, but he’s not quite there yet.

Oakland still has a great running game despite McFadden having some issues health wise this season.

This game between the Raiders and Steelers is set to be an entertaining game.
