To the disappointment to Buccaneers fans everywhere, Greg Schiano remains the head coach of Tampa Bay, even after another loss. Based on what Schiano has had to say, they might be straddled with him for a while.

According to Jay Glazer of FOX Sports, per Pro Football Talk, Schiano met with team owners sometime after Thursday’s 31-13 prime time loss to the Carolina Panthers. He then reportedly told Buccaneers players that they are stuck with him.

I’m sure there are players that are wondering just how long they are stuck with him. The next two games for the Bucs are not looking promising. Next week, the Bucs must travel to Seattle to play the Seahawks, which might as well be another loss. After that, the Bucs return to home to play the Miami Dolphins on Monday Night Football.

If Tampa Bay loses to the Dolphins, the Bucs will be 0-9 and have another loss on national television. I can’t believe Schiano could survive that, but head coaches have made it through a football season with worse records. And while firing Schiano would be the best course of action to prevent an even emptier stadium, the Bucs management haven’t always done what seems best.

Still, I can’t imagine a seat hotter than Schiano’s.
