The Buffalo Bills got off to a dreadful start in Week 9, with an early turnover and injury to a key player on offense. On the very first play of the game, Bills quarterback Thad Lewis was looking to make a move along the offensive line when he was popped by a New Orleans Saints defender.

Lewis ended up putting the ball on the turf, which the Saints easily recovered.

To make matters even worse, Lewis was shaken up on the play and had a tough time getting back to his feet. He needed the assistance of the training staff to make his way to the sideline.

If Lewis is unable to get healthy enough to re-enter the game, the Bills will have to revert back to undrafted rookie Jeff Tuel.

The good news for the Bills is that they were able to get off the hook after the New Orleans Saints booted the field goal off the upright on the attempt that would have given the Saints an early lead.
