The New England Patriots are on top of the NFC East yet again, but they on defense they just don’t have any household names with game-changing power.

Enter, the idea of Jared Allen.

Allen would give the Pats a terrific pass rusher to help the back end not have to work so hard. Let’s face it, the Patriots’ main issue is still on defense, especially in the secondary. And that was before the injuries started stacking up.

The thought is that Allen will take a 2nd round pick to get. I think the Pats could give up their 2nd round pick to get a guy as explosive as Jared Allen on their defense. It would have to boost the Pats chances at a No. 1 seed.
