The NFL trade deadline is coming our way on Tuesday, October 29 at 4 p.m. ET, so fans are dreaming up some wild scenarios for their team with hopes that a blockbuster trade will go down within the next twenty four hours.

We hate to break it to you, but if there haven’t already been rumblings of a possible deal, it is highly unlikely that it will happen.

However, sometimes there are people crazy enough to pull a deal out of thing air and Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is one of those men. He just watched his team suffer another heart-breaking loss, so he could be looking to make a move that will bolster their line up.

Considering that there were reports last week about the Cowboys losing confidence in DeMarco Murray, could the Cowboys be the team that swoops in and saves Adrian Peterson from wasting away his career in Minnesota?

We all remember the “The Great Trade Robbery” that sent Herschel Walker from Dallas to Minnesota for 18 players and draft picks, so maybe the Vikings would like to get even and try to score a large package in exchange for Peterson.

Of course, Dallas doesn’t have the ammunition to swing a deal for Peterson and having another talented offensive player would only create more drama by taking away targets for Dez Bryant, so the move would be more of a disaster than a help.

Still, you have to believe that at some point there will be a team looking to steal Peterson from Minnesota to give him a few years with a contender, but the deal is unlikely to happen by tomorrow’s deadline.

So while you dream of Adrian Peterson joining the Cowboys, don’t get too involved in the fantasy. It isn’t going to happen.
