The NFL Trade Deadline usually has a ton of buzz and little to no action at the end of it. With a blockbuster trade of a #3 overall draft pick already made this season, could there be any more big names on the trading block? The biggest part of the NFL trade deadline will always be the rumors. If not for the rumors of potential trades, we might not even know that there is an NFL trade deadline because it typically comes and goes without any major transactions. This year there are some big names being thrown out as possible trade bait and some teams looking to take advantage of roster needs. Teams have until 4:00 pm EST on Tuesday, Oct. 29th to make any trades.

Per CBS Sport’s Jason La Canfora, the biggest names on the trading block as of Monday morning were the Titans’ WR Kenny Britt, Giants WR Hakeem Nicks, and Browns WR Josh Gordon. ESPN’s Adam Schefter is saying that Arizona could potentially part with WR Larry Fitzgerald and the Raiders might be shopping RB Darren McFadden while Fox Sports 1’s Jay Glazer says that Minnesota Vikings DE Jared Allen could be on the move.

I could see the Titans moving Kenny Britt and a team starved for receivers like the Packers or 49ers looking to him as opposed to Nicks, as Britt will command less of a bounty of picks than Nicks will. The Giants are also coming off of back-to-back wins and might not be totally out of things when it comes to the NFC East playoff picture so that could potentially nullify any thoughts they might have had for unloading Nicks earlier this season. The Browns have said they’re not planning to move Gordon so out of all the receivers available, I think that Britt will be the most likely one traded.

It would be very surprising to see Arizona trade away Fitzgerald although that may be the best move for all parties involved. They can’t seem to build any talent around him and his salary cap number jumps to $18 million next year.

Minnesota is looking for a high round draft pick in exchange for Jared Allen, per Jay Glazer. The DE would earn the team a 3rd round compensatory pick if he leaves via free agency this offseason so they will look to get better than that for him in a trade.  Not sure how many teams are looking to part with a first or second rout pick in exchange for an aging defensive end so I wouldn’t be surprised if Allen is still a Minnesota Viking come Tuesday evening.

Will this be the year the NFL Trade Deadline sends big name players moving all around or was the Trent Richardson trade the biggest one this season will have?
