The Houston Texans released three rookies last week and ESPN had reported it was because of allegedly smoking marijuana in the team hotel. Since the release, Cierre Wood, Sam Montgomery and Willie Jefferson have been looking for new work and Wood and Montgomery have been trying to clear their names.

We previously reported that Sam Montgomery underwent a voluntary drug test following his release and the results came back negative.

Since that time, Montgomery has met with the Cincinnati Bengals and Oakland Raiders, with several other teams interested. Now, Wood is following his path.

According to FOX Sports, Wood also took a drug test that came back clean.

Wood, along with Jefferson, has visited with the Jacksonville Jaguars as they continue to look for work.

All three players remain unsigned and will continue to work out and interview with teams while they work towards returning to an active roster.

We will keep you updated as more information becomes available, so stay tuned for the latest information.
