The Dallas Mavericks are big into spoofs. They spoofed the Geico “Hump Day” commercials with their own version. That one featured Mavs superstar Dirk Nowitzki trying to get people to say what day it is. Of course, “hump day” was changed to “game day” to complete the sports spoof.

Some of their videos are better than others. Dirk did a weird video with Flula where they drove around in a car signing “Can’t Get No Satisfaction.”

Now, they’re combining the two elements: spoofs and weird music related videos with Dirk singing poorly. This time, they’re taking on the popular YouTube video What Does the Fox Say. That song has gotten 175 million views on YouTube. The Mavs changed it to “what do the Mavs say?”

The video features Mavs players dancing in front of the video wearing animal noses and headbands making those awful noises from the video. It is odd to say the least and good luck getting these images out of your head.

How they agreed to get some of the more veteran players to do this is beyond me. Shawn Marion and Vince Carter look more into then some of the younger players.

Hopefully this is the only video like this we see this year.
