The writers at NFL.com have released their 2013 Midseason Awards, and unsurprisingly, Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning and Houston Texans defensive lineman J.J. Watt were among those to make the list.

"Try to quell your surprise. Manning has thrown 29 TD passes in leading the Broncos to a 7-1 record. Denver’s current point total (343) is more points than half the teams will score all."

CBS Sports Pete Prisco named Broncos center Manny Ramirez to his All-Pro team, which is a testament as to how much the former guard, who was considered average at that position, has improved his game to play a different position:

"He moved over from guard because of injuries and has done a great job in a complicated offense for centers. He’s smart, and it shows."

The Bleacher Report team had a similar group on their All-Pro team, but they did have one surprising player on their list in Tenseness Titans cornerback Alterraun Verner, who’s quietly become one of the league’s best corners:

"The answer nobody saw coming was the Titans’ Alterraun Verner, who not only has four interceptions to his credit, but he also has a touchdown, two fumble recoveries, 20 solo tackles and an NFL-best 13 passes defensed to his credit."
