Buffalo Bills quarterback took a beating last week during the Bills loss to the New Orleans Saints, which resulted in some rib soreness and his absence from practice on Wednesday. Lewis is dealing with the flu in addition to his rib injury, which led to the decision to hold him out.

However, don’t worry Bills fans, it shouldn’t be Tuel Time again.

While the Kansas City Chiefs would like to face another back up quarterback when they take on the Bills in Week 9, it is expected that Lewis should be healthy enough to suit up and take the field with the Bills offense.

Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network first passed along the report.

The only question with Lewis is how he will be able to hold up under the Chiefs aggressive attack.

The Chiefs are better than anyone else in the NFL at getting after the passer, so Lewis could find himself on his back and taking another brutal beating while Kansas City brings the heat.
