The Cincinnati Bengals have one of the best defensive linemen in the NFL in Geno Atkins. Unfortunately, Atkins went down in the first half of the Thursday Night Football match up against the Miami Dolphins with a knee injury that caused him to be carted from the field.

After Atkins twisted his knee, he immediately went down to the ground in pain.

The Bengals have officially ruled Atkins out for the remainder of the game.

He was able to make it to the sideline with the help of his teammates, before his trainers helped him onto the cart that ultimately took him to the locker room.

There is no official word on what the injury could be, but you never like to see a cart involved with a lower leg injury.

Let’s all hope that Atkins will not be missing extended time.

If he does, the Bengals defense takes a devastating hit that will hurt their chances of running away with the AFC North.
