After former Washington defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth criticized Mike Shanahan on Tennessee Sports Radio earlier this week, the Washington coach decided to fire back with some critiques of his own.

Said Shanahan:

"When you don’t get along with somebody as a head coach, or assistant coach, it usually falls under one of those couple areas: lazy, lack of passion and a lot of times lack of character. And, uh, he fits all three. The only people I really haven’t gotten along with as a head coach or assistant coach is someone that’s lazy, and No. 2, when someone is lazy and they may lack character or they’re lazy and they lack a passion for the game, those are really the only people I haven’t gotten along with. When I take a look through my years at people who have been lazy or have lacked passion for the job, they don’t go into the next year, and when they do, they don’t last the next year (ESPN)."

Shanahan then threw on the “Ether” beat and proceeded to lay waste to Haynesworth with a wicked freestyle.
