Vikings at Cowboys odds, predictions and previews
By Mike Dyce
Last week the Dallas Cowboys (4-4) lost in heartbreaking fashion to an NFC North team, the Detroit Lions. This weekend they’re trying to rebound against another NFC North team, the Minnesota Vikings (1-6). The Cowboys are currently in first place in the NFC East and win could help them hold off the Philadelphia Eagles who are in second with a 3-5 record.
“When you put your guts out there for three hours, collectively, sometimes it’s hard to swallow those kinds of defeats,” head coach Jason Garrett said about the loss to the Lions, via ESPN. “What we need to do as a football team is learn from what just happened and find a way, in all three phases, to win this kind of game, and do what we need to do to win the game.”
For the Vikings they’re still trying to figure out who is going to play quarterback. That or they’re with holding that information hoping it gives them an edge against the Cowboys.
“I don’t know if there’s any one thing I can point to and say why it’s Christian and Josh in this determination,” Vikings head coach Leslie Frazier said.
Date: November 3
Start Time: 1:00 p.m. ET
Location: Dallas, Texas
Stadium: AT&T Stadium
TV Info: FOX
Line: Dallas -10½
Over/Under: 47
The 10½ spread is a lot of an NFL game, especially when it involves the inconsistent Dallas Cowboys. For what it is worth, the Cowboys are far better against the spread then they are straight up. This season the Cowboys are 7-1 against the spread and a perfect 4-0 at home. Unfortunately, the Cowboys are 1-7 against the spread when playing Minnesota in their last eight games.
Prediction:
VIKINGS: 17
COWBOYS: 34
